CBI%College English course system%new mode
以内容为依托教学模式( CBI)起源于20世纪60年代在加拿大开展的沉浸式教学法.目前这一教学理念在我国逐渐得到关注,但少有学者和研究人员从大学英语课程设置角度,探讨基于CBI理念的大学英语课程体系的设置问题.采用实证研究的方法,探讨了大学英语基础课程、通识教育课程和ESP课程多元化课程体系实施的可行性,试图解决大学英语单一的语言教学现状,激发学生学习英语的热情,从而进一步提高学生语言能力、扩展学生知识面和提高学生综合素质.实验后测试结果显示:实验组的学生不仅综合语言能力总体优于对照组,学科专业知识和文化素养等方面也优于对照组.以实验班为样本的调查问卷结果也为CBI课程融入基础英语教学的可行性提供了有力证明,学生不仅提高了英语语言水平而且从CBI课程中学到了许多学科知识.通识课程的网上自主学习也帮助学生增强了自主学习能力,收获了文化知识,提高了跨文化交际能力.

The idea of Content-Based Instruction( CBI )took its root in immersion education in Canada in the 19605. It begins to attract increasing attention of Chinese researchers and scholars recently. However,few probe in-to the College English course system based on CBI from the perspective of the College English course. The study aims at exploring the feasibility of how the English general education course and the ESP course are integrated into the current basic college English course. The purpose of the study is to improve the state of teaching language alone in College English teaching,to arouse students'fervour of study,to further develop students'language compe-tence,to enrich the students'knowledge and to raise the students'comprehensive quality. The experimental results indicate that the experimental group is superior to the control group not only in the overall English proficiency,but also in the content knowledge and cultural knowledge. Results from the questionnaire prove that a majority of students were satisfied with the CBI course and that it is feasible to integrate the CBI course into the basic College English course since it not only helps increase the students'English language level. but also promotes their acquisi-tion of content knowledge. Self-study of the online course also helps the students improve self-study ability,ac-quire cultre knowkledge and incerease their ability of cross-cultural communication.
