语用充实是译者为了填补翻译中的信息空缺而不断做出各种语言选择的过程 ;翻译是一种特殊的跨语言交际活动.在跨语言交际中 ,译者应该根据相应语境进行词义的语用缩减或扩充 ,以弥补由于文化背景、语言习惯和价值观等方面的不同而造成的信息空缺.文章以小说对话翻译为例证 ,分析语用充实在翻译中的重要性.

The Pragmatic Enrichment is a process by which the translator is constantly making the language selection in order to fill the infor-mation gaps in translation .Translation is a special communicative activity of cross-language .So ,in the activity of cross-language com-munication ,the translators should reduce or expand the meaning of words according to the related context to make up the information gap produced due to different culture ,language habits and values .It takes the dialogue translation of the novel as example ,to analyze the impor-tance of pragmatic enrichment in translation .
