In this paper,practical experience of the bilingual teaching of Introduction to Solid-state Lighting and common features of students at local undergraduate college are discussed. In order to provide a useful reference for bilingual teaching of other specialized courses at local undergraduate colleges and universities, the authors'viewpoint toward bilingual teaching and the method on constructing bilingual teaching courses are elaborated from three perspectives such as preparation for teaching,teaching methods and assessment.
