介绍了西南地区煤矿瓦斯地质特征和煤炭开发现状,对该区域2008—2012年内的瓦斯事故分布特点、事故类型、发展趋势、发生地点及事故发生原因进行了详细的统计和分析,得出开采技术条件差、煤层瓦斯压力大、小煤矿数量多、矿井盈利能力差、管理水平低、安全投入不足及工人安全意识淡薄等几个主要致灾因素,并提出了该地区煤矿瓦斯治理的对策.

This paper described the characteristics of coal-bed gas geology and the current situation of coal mining in southwest area, and gave a detailed statistics and analysis of the distribution features, types, development trend, locations and causes of gas accidents occurred in the years from 2008 to 2012 in this area. It was concluded that the poor mining techniques, high coal-seam gas pressure, more small coal mines, poor profitability, low management level, inadequate safety input and weak safety consciousness of the miners were the main factors causing the accident occurrence in this area. Finally, some countermeasures for gas control in coal mines in this area were proposed.
