人类乳头瘤病毒(HPV)持续感染是导致宫颈癌发生的主要原因,但是越来越多的证据表明单独HPV感染不足以导致宫颈的恶性转化,其他基因表达水平的改变也参与了宫颈癌的发生和发展.近期研究发现,多种miRNA参与宫颈癌的病理进程,其中在宫颈癌中高表达的miR-21可以通过阻遏肿瘤抑制相关基因,如PTEN、PDCD4、TPM1、CCL20 和LATS1等的表达而发挥癌基因的作用.本文就miR-21与宫颈癌的关系的研究进展做一综述.

Persistent infection of high risk HPV (human papilloma virus) is a major cause of cervical cancer. However, growing evidence indicate that HPV infection alone is not enough to cause the malignant transformation of cervical cells. Change of the expression levels in other genes is also involved in the occurrence and development of cervical cancer. Recent studies found that many miRNAs were involved in the pathological process of cervical cancer. Among these miRNAs, the high-expressed miR-21 in cervical cancer plays the role of oncogene by inhibiting the ex-pression of multiple tumor suppressor genes such as PTEN, PDCD4, TPM1, CCL20 and LATS1. The article here makes a brief review on the research progress on the relationship between miR-21 and cervical cancer.
