Reading is not only an important part of English teaching,but also the main stardom of measuring the students’English level. The present paper focuses on the application of scaffold instruction in English reading. This teaching method emphasizes the teacher’s role as a guide and highlights the student-centered education concept. It can not only improve teaching efficiency but also promote student’s enthusiasm and initiative in reading. It has great practical significance as well.
