新时期以来江苏作家关注城乡主题时，城市与乡村主要以个体现实处境的空间性而存在，个体生命的无常与人性的深邃在其中充分体现。对文革、知青上山下乡等特定历史情境下的个体关注，对城乡现代化进程中人性变异的忧思，以及对日常生活中的人性发掘，江苏作家主要采取城与乡相互审视的视角，结合个体与存在之间的无限冲突来展现其多种可能的生存状态及人性内涵，力图从人性的凡俗与庸常人生的交织中来发现人性的尊严与高贵，其创作展现出朴素深沉的审美个性。

Since the new period,Jiangsu writers have been focused on the theme of urban and rural areas.City and country have mainly existed in the spatiality of individual reality situation,in which the transience of individu-al life and the deep humanity are embodied.With individual attention to the cultural revolution and educated youths under specific historical contexts,worry about the humanity variation in the modernization process,and the humanity excavation in daily life,Jiangsu writers mainly took the angle of mutual inspection of urban and rural ar-eas,and displayed many possible survival states and human nature combining the endless conflicts between the in-dividual and the existence,trying to find out the dignity and noble of humanity from the mundane and mediocre life,thus their novels show a simple but deep aesthetic personality.
