With the deeper research on the cathodic protection technology, the application range of magnesium alloy sacrificial anode is becoming more and more wide. This paper mainly discuss the different arguments of magnesium alloy sacrificial anodes (hereinafter referred to as the magnesium anode) quality acceptance standards in the cathodic protection process of buried steel pipeline, these argument comes from supply anddemand parties including production, design, procurement and construction of magnesium anode. The purpose of this paper is to unify the fuzzy understanding between parties in the process of using magnesium anode standard, and hope to provide some valuable reference for magnesium anode standard formulated or revised.
