《诗比兴笺》现存稿本和刻本两种,对于其作者的争议,自该书刊行之日,即存在陈沆和魏源两说. 虽经李瑚、顾国瑞、夏剑钦、吴怀东诸先生之厘清,学界依然有人将其版权归于陈沆. 文章将两种版本进行比较,从其正文、序、诗注、笺语各处的增删润色来看,两种版本实出于一人之手 ,即为魏源所作.

《시비흥전》현존고본화각본량충,대우기작자적쟁의,자해서간행지일,즉존재진항화위원량설. 수경리호、고국서、하검흠、오부동제선생지전청,학계의연유인장기판권귀우진항. 문장장량충판본진행비교,종기정문、서、시주、전어각처적증산윤색래간,량충판본실출우일인지수 ,즉위위원소작.
There are two versions of Shi Bi Xing Jian, namely, a manuscript and a block -printed edition.But we are faced with a controversy that the author maybe Chen Hang or Wei Yuan.Despite the clarificati on of some scholars such as Li Hu, Gu Guorui, Xia Jianqin, Wu Huaidong, some reesarchers still held the view that the copyrig ht should belong to Chen-hang.Now, after a comparison of the two editions'modification in the text, introductions, and notes between them, we insist that it is Wei-yuan who is the author of the book.
