Inspired by Tu Youyou, the Nobel Prize winner whose research is on traditional Chinese medicinal herb, the author suggests that we should reassess the relationship between art design and Chinese painting, dig deeply into Chinese painting, a part of the traditional Chinese culture, to discover the precious treasure of its connotation, and ifnaly provides beneifcial reference for the disciplinary developments of Design Arts as wel as Fine Arts at present.
