英国是世界上最早进行工业革命的国家,随着技术进步,由城市化引起的人口流动对英国住房市场产生了深远的影响,英国也成为了世界上最早出现贫民窟的国家.文章在系统梳理英国贫民窟近150余年发展脉络的基础上,归纳总结了英国贫民窟的四种改造模式:简单改造、整合与重构、重建与更新、再生与复兴,旨在对我国当前新型城镇化进程中的棚户区改造研究起到一定借鉴意义.
