作为岭南庭园的重要组成,潮汕庭园在庭园空间与要素形态上有别于粤中庭园.潮汕庭园可分为纵深式、俯仰式、布景式与井院式等四种空间模式,其特征是要素简约,善用尺度对比,以假山作为景观主体与意境载体.园宅一体的紧凑格局与壶中池山的复合空间使潮汕庭园有着明显的实用性特征,生活性空间与景观性空间相融.通过对岭南著名建筑师莫伯治的潮汕庭园调查研究与其庭园建筑作品的关联与形态分析,潮汕庭园对现代岭南建筑庭园潜在而真实的影响可得到清晰地解读,从而有助深入认识潮汕庭园的现代适应性.

As the important part of Lingnan garden, Chaoshan gardens are distinct from the gardens in the central region of Guangdong both in space and element. Chaoshan gardens are often smal and merged with living space, so their compact layout and complex space show significant practicability. Chaoshan gardens can be divided into four space paterns. Most gardens have simple elements,make good use of scale, and take rock hil as the main landscape element and carier of artistic conception. Through the relationship and form analysis of Chaoshan gardens investigating and the architecture gardens designed by Mo Bozhi, the famous Chinese architect, Chaoshan gardens' potential but real influence on modern Lingnan architecture could be understood more clearly. This wil be useful to deepen the understanding of modern applicability of Chaoshan gardens.
