The professionalization development of western social work is faced with many difficulties such as low identity, lacking theoretical instruction, imperfected system and multi-ethnic culture environment. This article discusses these problems and come to the conclusion that promoting social work professionalization process must be combined with the local traditional culture and regional characteristics, enhance the social identity, strengthen the domestic theoretical research, and set up a trinity system of government, school and NGO to highlight the na-tional characteristics.
