Safety power design is one of the most important tasks which should be performed preferentially in the early nuclear power construction.According to the technical requirement of AP1000 and the site feature of Zhangzhou nuclear power plant,the design capacity and the op-timal connection to the grid are decided after theoretical analysis and emulation. Moreover, the safety and reliability of 220kV safety power in Zhangzhou nuclear power plant is discussed to meet the functional requirement of AP1000 in both service power and safety power.
