In this paper, electromagnetic program and structure characteristics of Yangjiang pumped-storage units, characteristic and research results of evaporative-cooling technology are analyzed, and superiority of evaporative-cooling adopted to the said units are discussed, which indicates that advantages of evaporative-cooling technology can be brought into full exertion and more extensive application when applied to large capacity pumped-storage units of Yangjiang power station.
