长阳族群关系存在一个从“蛮左/夏人”、“土家/客家”到“土家族/汉族”的结构性变迁过程。其变迁说明：一，土家族是新中国民族识别的结果，“蛮左”、“土家”等人群是华夏在“华/夷”族群分类观念主导下对不同历史时期“他者”的称呼与表述，并具有不同的历史内涵；二，长阳当下良好的“土家族/汉族”族群关系的形成，既是历史的延续，也是国家民族平等、团结、共同繁荣政策之树开出的新花，结出的硕果。
長暘族群關繫存在一箇從“蠻左/夏人”、“土傢/客傢”到“土傢族/漢族”的結構性變遷過程。其變遷說明：一，土傢族是新中國民族識彆的結果，“蠻左”、“土傢”等人群是華夏在“華/夷”族群分類觀唸主導下對不同歷史時期“他者”的稱呼與錶述，併具有不同的歷史內涵；二，長暘噹下良好的“土傢族/漢族”族群關繫的形成，既是歷史的延續，也是國傢民族平等、糰結、共同繁榮政策之樹開齣的新花，結齣的碩果。
장양족군관계존재일개종“만좌/하인”、“토가/객가”도“토가족/한족”적결구성변천과정。기변천설명：일，토가족시신중국민족식별적결과，“만좌”、“토가”등인군시화하재“화/이”족군분류관념주도하대불동역사시기“타자”적칭호여표술，병구유불동적역사내함；이，장양당하량호적“토가족/한족”족군관계적형성，기시역사적연속，야시국가민족평등、단결、공동번영정책지수개출적신화，결출적석과。
The ethnic relations of Changyang have been a process of structural transition from “Man Zuo/Xia People” through “Tu/Ke” to “Tujia Nationality/Han Nationality”. This process shows that Tujia Nationality is a result of the national identification of People’s Republic of China, and terms such as “Man Zuo” and ”Tujia”, containing different historical connotations, are appellations and expressions used to “others” in different historical periods by Chinese in central China with a view of duality of “Chinese/Barbarians”, and that the formation of good ethnic relations between Tujia Nationality and Han Nationality in contemporary Changyang is not only the continuation of historical situation, but also a result of state policy aiming at national equality, unity and common prosperity.
