模式识别是国内大多数高校面向工科类本科生开设的一门重要课程。模式识别涉及深奥的数学理论,对于本科专业学生十分难学难懂。针对以上问题,提出一种“理论结合实践趣味教学法”,即利用课堂理论教学和上机实践教学交替进行,其中摒弃复杂的数学公式由浅入深理论教学,并通过有趣实例编程交叉实践。实践证明,这种教学方法能有效提高学生的学习兴趣,改善模式识别课程的学习效果。

Pattern recognition is an important course for college students, majoring in engineering, in most of the Chinese universities. Composed of complex mathematical theories, Pattern recognition is quite hard for the B.S. stu-dents to learn and understand. To this end, the theory integrating practice and interest-intriguing based method is proposed, i.e. the in-class theoretical teaching alternating with in-lab coding experiments. As a result, the analyses for the complex mathematical formulas are abandoned. In addition, the interesting coding experiments are crossing over the theoretical teaching, from the shallower to the deeper. The results show that, the B.S. students' interests are tremendously intrigued, and also, the learning effect are greatly improved.
