高校意识形态工作在某种程度上直接关系到高校的人才培养质量。特别是在目前社会新形势下高校意识形态领域的工作越来越复杂，目前工作仍然需要加强马克思主义意识形态理论为主导，采取各种有效手段坚持保持高校意识形态工作的领导权和主导权。本文以高校意识形态工作领导权和主导权为重点，在阐述新形势下高校意识形态的相关理论基础的前提下分析其积极意义，最后结合实际提出几点途径，最终实现帮助现代大学生树立正确的人生观、价值观、世界观，培养出全面发展的社会主义建设者。
