With the case of the elevation surveying and mapping of the urban building renovation of Ledong Li Nationality Autonomous Coun-ty, Hainan Province, the operation procedures of the elevation surveying and mapping by 3D laser scanning are proposed.The procedures fully describe the key technology of data capturing, processing and mapping of the building elevation spaces.This technology can improve surveying and mapping efficiency and precision of the building elevations.
