探讨了中国历史上各民族守望相助和交往交流交融的关系及其内涵，揭示了中华民族多元一体格局形成过程中各民族交往交流交融的本质特征就是守望相助，并且体现在经济政治文化社会各个方面。以内蒙古自治区鄂尔多斯市古代、近现代和当代民族关系发展史为例，提出该地区是各民族守望相助和交往交流交融的典型区域，进而分析了新的历史时期各民族守望相助和交往交流交融的发展趋势。

This paper explores the relation and connotations of being watchful and assistant a-mong different nationalities and contact, communication and communion in Chinese history, re-veals that being watchful and assistant is the essential feature of the contact, communication and communion between different nationalities in the process of achieving the integration of multicul-tural Chinese nation, which is demonstrated in economy, politics, culture and society. Taking the development history of the ancient, modern and contemporary national relation as example, the paper proposes that Erdos is an area that can typically show the watch and assistance be-tween different nationalities and contact, communication and communion, and further probes in-to the future development of such watchful and assistant state between different nationalities and contact, communication and communion in the new historical period.
