This paper introduces the general idea and measures of preventing the low temperature brittle frac-ture in ASME standard,and analyzes the measures;it contrasts the main differences between ASME Ⅷ-Ⅰand ASME Ⅷ-Ⅱin preventing the low temperature brittle fracture;it lists the specific steps of impact test exemption of ASME.
