Based on the facts that college students differ greatly in their English learning back-grounds, appropriate teaching methods were used to meet the requirements of the differentiated instruction for the students who had different English proficiency, including adopting suitable textbooks, compiling of teaching materials, expository teaching on key materials, accomplishing collaborative tasks and personalized class assignments, etc. Practical results showed that these methods had greatly promoted the interests and efficiency for the English study of most college students.
