春秋战国时代是战乱频仍的时代，也是反战思想与反战文学流行的时代。《诗经》为反战文学之滥殇，《楚辞》亦有反战之波。屈原在现实中是反秦爱楚主战的，被贬出使齐国则是主和的，但在文学诗作中是坚定反战的，《哀郢》与《国殇》是他的反战代表作，“狐死首丘”则是经典反战意象，其反战思想与文学成为中国反战文学的重要源头。

The Spring and Autumn Period (770-476 B.C.) and the Warring States (475-221 B.C.) are the time when many wars occurred and anti-war literature was popular. The Book of Songs is the origin of anti-war literature. The Songs of the South also reflects anti-war thoughts. In reality, Qu Yuan rose in resistance to Qin Kingdom and protected Chu Kingdom. After banished to Qi Kingdom, he advocated peace. But in his poetry, he firmly opposed war. Mourning the Lost Capital (《哀郢》) and A National Martyr (《国殇》) are his anti-war representative works. "A fox dies with its face towards its den" is a classical anti-war image. His anti-war thoughts and literature became the important source of China anti-war literature.
