目前《吕氏春秋》学术史、研究史方面的研究十分欠缺，存在很大研究空间。在元刊本《吕氏春秋》的基础上，明代刊刻出版了许多新的重要的《吕氏春秋》版本，在中国《吕氏春秋》学术史、研究史、传播史上具有重要地位。明初的一百多年，《吕氏春秋》研究一片空白，是“《吕氏春秋》研究史的冬天”。整个万历时期，是明代刊刻出版《吕氏春秋》重要版本最多的时期，是明代《吕氏春秋》研究史的高峰。万历之后，《吕氏春秋》赏析评点学术研究有逐渐成为主流之势。
목전《려씨춘추》학술사、연구사방면적연구십분흠결，존재흔대연구공간。재원간본《려씨춘추》적기출상，명대간각출판료허다신적중요적《려씨춘추》판본，재중국《려씨춘추》학술사、연구사、전파사상구유중요지위。명초적일백다년，《려씨춘추》연구일편공백，시“《려씨춘추》연구사적동천”。정개만력시기，시명대간각출판《려씨춘추》중요판본최다적시기，시명대《려씨춘추》연구사적고봉。만력지후，《려씨춘추》상석평점학술연구유축점성위주류지세。
