The paper introduced the main action of cutting water valve in electric desalting section for crude oil in petrochemical industry refinery.Damages on internal parts of the valve u-sually appearing in actual application in Qilu Refinery were described in detail.New solution project was given, which solved effectively the typical problems such as short running period of the cutting water valve and high incidence rate of damage.
