《荀子·劝学》集中体现了荀子的教育教学思想,特别强调学习过程中“积”的重要性。“积”依赖人为,既是学习过程的体现,又是学习方法的提炼,还是“化性起伪”的必要准备。荀子“积”之思想的教育意涵精深旨远:从我“积”,凸显主体挖潜能;从小“积”,积微见著有成效;从本“积”,透过现象看本质;持续“积”,锲而不舍贵有恒。

Exhortation to Learning by Master Xun epitomizes his thought on learning and teaching ,espe‐cially the importance of“accumulation”in the process of learning .Relying on artificial endeavor ,accumula‐tion was an expression of learning processes and refinement of learning methods ;in the meanwhile ,it was the necessary improvement of “evil nature” .In the broader field of perspectives ,his connotations of accu‐mulation were considerate and lavish .From ego ,he highlighted exploitation of one's potentialities .From particle ,victories belonged to the most persevering .From essence ,he tried to perceive the truth through the appearance .From persistence ,he kept his nose to the grindstone .
