美国诗人加里·斯奈德被视为深层生态学的桂冠诗人。斯奈德的生态思想主要体现在他对荒野的热爱、对文明的反思，对印第安人生活的向往以及对理想的生态意识的勾画等四个方面。《龟岛》是斯奈德的第五本诗集，该诗集获得了1975年度普利策诗歌奖。可从《龟岛》这部诗集的部分诗歌对斯奈德的生态整体论思想进行探析。

American poet Gary Snyder is regarded as the poet laureate of deep ecology for his great contributions to ecological literature.Many of his ecological thoughts are reflected in his love for the wild nature,the introspection of the civilization,the desire for Indians'lifestyle and the description of the ideal ecological consciousness.Turtle Island is Synder's fifth poetry collection,by which Synder was rewarded the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry in 1975.This essay analyzes Synder's ecological thoughts and discusses his ecological holism with the work Turtle Island.
