Based on the concept of research teaching, this paper analyzes the relationship between research teaching and the teaching mode of the automation major. Combined with the course teaching characteristics of the automation major, the re-search on the teaching model of automation courses is divided in-to two kinds of research teaching models respectively for basic courses and professional courses, and feasible means for the im-plementation of the research teaching model are proposed.
