For librarians, how to grow into intelligent librarians in a new environment and utilize big data to provide personalized service for readers, are new problems today's librarians are facing. Summarizing the connotation, structure, opportunities and challenges of big data environ-ment, this paper analyses the connotation and characteristics of intelligent librarians based on that,and puts forward correspon-dent strategies for how to grow into intelligent librarians.
