唐五代时期，诸多藩镇及割据政权首领或养子为兵、或养子为将，而委之以统领军队的重任，这种建立在政治利益之上的收养关系因其浓厚的政治色彩而极不稳定。有的养子与养父关系亲和，是养父在战场上的得力战将，关键时刻亦会舍身救父，而且与养父亲子及其他养子也能够相处融洽；有的养父子关系纯粹是建立在利益之上的关系，一旦维持这种关系的利益不存在，父子关系则瞬间崩溃，甚至互相残杀。这种政治角逐之下建立起来的养父子关系对其自身及社会各方面都产生了不可忽视的影响。

당오대시기，제다번진급할거정권수령혹양자위병、혹양자위장，이위지이통령군대적중임，저충건립재정치이익지상적수양관계인기농후적정치색채이겁불은정。유적양자여양부관계친화，시양부재전장상적득력전장，관건시각역회사신구부，이차여양부친자급기타양자야능구상처융흡；유적양부자관계순수시건립재이익지상적관계，일단유지저충관계적이익불존재，부자관계칙순간붕궤，심지호상잔살。저충정치각축지하건립기래적양부자관계대기자신급사회각방면도산생료불가홀시적영향。
In the Tang and Five Dynasties,many leaders in local separatist power appointed their adop-tive sons as soldiers or generals in order to command the army for them.This relationship which relied on the political interests was very unstable.Some of the adoptive sons not only had a harmonious relationship with their adoptive fathers,but also had a good relationship with other adoptive sons.In critical situa-tions,they were always brave to sacrifice themselves to save their adoptive fathers.Some relationship, however,was purely built on the political interests,so their relationship would break up immediately,and even they would manage to kill each other once the interest between them did not exist.The relationship based on the political interests produced a significant impact on themselves and the society in many fields.
