抗日战争时期无数的文艺家都投入了民族救亡的伟大历史潮流之中，创作了各种门类的艺术品，有力地打击了日本侵略者，鼓舞了人民，他们的名字与作品如长天不落的星辰，闪烁在华夏的天宇，不少作品至今仍然流传在人民中间，是中国新文化中的珍宝。为了表彰这些人为民族解放所做出的贡献，在中华民族崛起的今天，我们高声呼唤他们的名字，首先是为了铭记历史，同时也是为了发扬现代文化的威力，展示抗日战争时期文艺家作为革命文艺战线成员的历史作用，推动以人民为中心的创作导向的进一步落实，促进人民的社会主义文艺进一步的发展与繁荣。
