甘肃因位于中国内部四大生态文化区域的交汇地带而处于中国地理中心，这种独特的地理位置决定了它在中国内部地理交通和人文交流的连接作用。如今，全国各省区都在主动融入“一带一路”建设，甘肃如何在“一带一路”建设中发挥自我定位的“黄金段”的功能，则是本文讨论的主要问题。甘肃作为“一带一路”建设的“黄金段”是否能够实现，关键在于以下四点：一是建设“东来西往、南联北接”的交通黄金带；二是花大成本保护“一带一路”“黄金带”的生态环境，保障交通黄金段的生态恢复、道路畅通；三是依靠交通黄金带，发展特色产业，做好贸易中转；四是凭借交通黄金带，通过文化交流与理解，架起内地与边疆各族民众互相尊重、包容、共享、信任的桥梁，促进国家凝聚力和向心力的提升。

Gansu is located in the geographic center of China and the convergence zone of the four domestic ecological culture areas . It has particular geographical traffic and communication functions . More specifically ,it connected the transportation routes along the Great Wall , the Silk Road and Tibetan‐Yi Corridor .At the same time ,it extended to Xinjiang through Hexi Corridor .As a result ,it promoted the interaction among ethnic groups and the cultural communication .Based on the“connecting”function , Gansu can play a role of “golden belt” in the implement of “ The Belt and Road” Strategy . Through the construction of the golden belt in terms of traffic , ecology , economic and culture , it frames a bridge of communication between inner and frontier people , or domestic and foreign people . Eventually , it can enhance the economic and social development in Gansu , so as to improve the national cohesion and centripetal force .
