Developing precision forging equipment is an important way to achieve the transformation and upgrading of China''s manufacturing industry. This article described the advanced technologies of precision forging such as hydraulic press isothermal forging, screw press precision forging, multi-way forging and spinning forming, as well as the characteris-tics of the related equipment in China and other countries. Through analyzing the development trend of advanced forming technology and comparing the current status of the equipment in China and other countries, the author pointed out that at-omization, flexibility, multi-function and large-scale would be the main development directions for precision forging equip-ment.
