This paper, firstly points out the flaw in the English translation of Hainan speciality—the coconut powder, and then analyzes its cause of the flaw, and at last puts forward the countermeasures, such as improving ideological understanding, letting the professional translator do his job, enhancing the joint supervision of the industrial and commercial administration, composing and publishing the English translation term manual for Hai'nan speciality.
