The idiomatic metaphors,which bear a unique and rich cultural connotation,have become a difficult issue in translation for a long time. The paper analyzes the idiomatic metaphors from the perspective of culture,properly dealing with the cultural image of ve-hicle presented in the source language,and investigates its translation strategies,accurately conveying the original metaphor meaning and cultural connotation,which will help to promote the cultural awareness and cultural communication.
