以4,4'-二甲基-2,2'-联吡啶为原料,在过氧化氢和乙酸酐的作用下,合成了目标化合物2,2'-联吡啶-4,4'-二甲醇;通过熔点、质谱和核磁对产物结构进行了表征,并得到最佳工艺条件.

2,2'-bipyridine-4,4'-diyldimethanol was synthesized from 4,4'-dimethyl-2,2'-bipyridine under the action of hydrogen peroxide and acetic anhydride direct oxidation. The characterization of structure was confirmed by melt point and mass spectrometry,and the optimum conditions was obtained through the further optimization.
