The concept and basic approaches of multi-sensor image fusion was systematically introduced. It focused on introducing the latest research on pixel level,feature level fusion and on summarizing the char-acteristics of algorithms. The standards of evaluation of fused images were also introduced briefly. Finally, the unsolved problems of multi-sensor image fusion and the latest development were pointed out.
