Possible causes for the abnormal vibration of the medium pressure air compressor in Zhanghewan Pumped Storage Hydropower Station are analyzed .Therefore, faults of the medium pressure air compressor can be diagnosed ac-curately .Some effective technical improvement measures are also proposed , which could reduce the fault occurrence and improve the service life of the medium pressure air compressor .
