The paper analyzes the“ladle freezing” accident when the metallurgical electric hoist is lifting the molten i-ron ladle for pouring, states that the design consistent with the standard requirements is the key to safe and reliable opera-tion of the crane, and puts forward measures to improve the electrical control design of lifting height limit of the accidental hoist to decrease and put an end to similar accidents.
