工程教育专业认证是针对高校开设的工科专业而实施的资格认证,起源于美国,近年来在我国快速发展。2014年我国有362个专业申请参加工程教育专业认证,中国工程教育专业认证协会最后受理138个,2014年的认证结果还未公布,但2013年的认证通过率只有82.1%。由此可见,越来越多的中国工科专业希望参加工程教育专业认证,而工程教育专业认证协会对申请专业的审核却十分严格。本文通过工程教育专业认证标准和主要内涵分析了工程教育专业认证对我国高校工程人才培养的重要作用、总结了我国高校在工程人才培养过程中存在的问题并提出了提高和改进我国工程人才培养质量的建议。

Engineering education accreditation, as an accredita-tion implemented for engineering majors opened in institutions of higher learning, originated from America and has achieved rapid development in our country in recent years. In 2014, 362 majors applied for engineering education accreditation in our country and 138 of them were accepted by China Engineering Education Accreditation Association finally. The result for 2014 has not been announced, but the pass rate was only 82.1%in 2013. Thus it can be seen that an increasing number of Chinese engineering majors hope to participate in engineering education accreditation, while the verification is very strict. In accordance with the stan-dard and main connotation of engineering education accredita-tion, this paper analyzes the importance of engineering education accreditation for engineering talent cultivation in China's institu-tions of higher learning, summarizes the problems existing in the engineering talent cultivation in China's institutions of higher learning, and proposes suggestions on improving the quality of engineering talent cultivation in China.
