Starting with the benefit of the 3 D-audio technology for improving the situational awareness and the application of 3D-audio in foreign aviation field,this paper analyzes the major application scenarios in aviation including 3D-audio alerts,voice communication,flight simulation and supervisory control of un-manned aerial vehicles,and discusses the key technique in aircraft 3D-audio such as high-resolution indi-vidual head related transfer function getting,head tracking and environmental suitability. Finally,it gives the development trend. The research in this paper can provide a reference for the researchers in aircraft au-dio area.
