According to the manufacturing procedure of heavy forgings for reactor pressure vessel of nuclear power plant and the typical quality issues appeared during the manufacturing process , by combining ASME and ASTM specifi-cations, as well as the relevant technical requirements for manufacturing , the key requirements of manufacturing process for reactor pressure vessel , the key points of quality control and the optimization of heat treatment parameters have been described .
