In this study,catkin micro-structure was used as a template to obtain the carbon microtubes by carbonization technology.The structure of carbon microtubes was characterized with Scanning Electron Microscope(SEM)and FTIR.The catalytic activity of the carbon microtubes was studied by esterification of glycerol with acetic acid.
