Scientific planning of intensive sheep farm should do functional area planning, according to the production requirements, combined with local climatic conditions, topography and surrounding environment. The paper studies and summarizes some new methods used in the planning and design of intensive sheep farms in cold regions in recent years with a focus of the field area, breeding area, forage area and manure area, and it aims to provide the basis for effectively reducing construction costs, smoothing production processes, improving feed efficiency, improving labor efficiency and exploiting production potential.
