With the global energy shortage, environmental pollution and other issues becoming increasingly serious, the world is developing new energies.As a kind of renewable clean energy, wind energy has been developing rapidly in recent years, and the wind power industry is becoming a new strategic industry in the world.Compared with onshore wind power, offshore environment is more severe, and construction is more difficult.Therefore, the installation of offshore wind turbine must be carried out by means of a special construction equipment——jack-up type wind turbine installation vessel. Based on the development of offshore wind power at home and abroad, this paper lists a number of well-known domestic and foreign wind power installation vessels with the focus on the main functions, principal dimensions and major equipments for the self developed jack-up wind turbine installation vessels.
