The status quo and the development process of transmission channel of power grid relay protection in Inner Mongolia Baotou area is introduced. Several optimal solutions are put forward from two aspects of facilities and equipment, and software configuration. And suggestions of improving the optical fiberas, the quality of the tail fiber connection head welding quality and the 2 Mbit/s connection, strengthening communication and coordination with relay protection workers, rationally making use of the allocation of fiber multiplexing channel, are carried out to ensure relay protection signal transmiting quickly and reliably, and the safe and stable operation of power supply network in Baotou area.
