In recent years, with the rapid development of economy in China, construction industry has rapidly developed. At the same time, with the continuous development of social economy and the continuous growth of population, the problems of water resources shortage and environment pollution are becoming more and more serious. How to solve the contradictions between the development of architectural engineering and water resource shortage is the first problem need to solve of the current construction. In the water supply and drainage design of architectural engineering, the selection of the water pump is crucial. The scientific and rational choice of water pump can promote the economy and stability of the water application of architectural engineering to attain the goal of water saving. This paper expounds the related concepts of water pump, introduces the principle of water pump selection of the water supply and drainage in architectural engineering, analyzes the water pump selection of the water supply and drainage in architectural engineering, at the same time, it also analyzes the energy saving functions of water pump selection of the water supply and drainage in architectural engineering.
