大学生公民教育的任务就是要培养国家需要的合格公民，为国家的巩固与发展奠定基石，塑造国家的凝聚力和向心力，国家认同是国家凝聚力和向心力的重要方面，所以大学生公民教育理应成为大学生国家认同的培养的切入点，因为大学生公民教育的逻辑起点是公民身份，而公民身份认同是大学生国家认同的心理基础；大学生公民教育的宗旨是公民意识的培养，而公民意识是大学生国家认同的思想基础；大学生公民教育的目标是公民素质的提高，而公民素质是大学生国家认同的民情基础。

The task of citizenship education fundamentally is to set the footstone for solidifying and developing of the country,to shape the cohesive power and centripetal force of the country.National identity is the important aspect of the cohesive power and centripetal force of the country,so citizenship education should be the breakthrough point of cultivating college students’ national identity,because the logical starting point of citizenship education is citizenship,however citizenship is the psychological basis of national identity.The tenet of citizenship education is fostering citizen’s consciousness,however citizen’s consciousness is the ideological basis.The purpose of citizenship education is to improving citizen’s qualities,however citizen’s qualities is the basis of feelings of the people.
