Pathognomonic medicines were constituted of TCM prescription, and some central medicines were very important. Function was determined by central medicines, so that central medicines were not free to split and just a choice. In the paper, central medicines of Yueju Wan were introduced; and the central role of Xiangfu, Chuanxiong and Cangshu was discussed.
