针灸学在《伤寒论》中占有重要的地位，经络理论是六经理论的基础，针刺、艾灸、温针等是治疗某些伤寒病证的有效疗法，其中有些治疗方法可以作为辅助疗法，有些也可以作为主要疗法，因而针灸疗法可以看作对方药治疗伤寒疾病的有益补充。

Acupuncture is playing an important role in ShangHan Lun, meridian theory is the foundation of six meridians theory, acupuncture such as needling, moxibustion and warm-needles are effective therapies in treating some exogenous febrile disease, among them, some therapeutic methods could be as adjunctive therapy, some could be taken as main therapy, therefore, acupuncture therapy could be thought as necessary complements for the pre-scription in treating exogenous febrile disease.
